Footwear’s basic care rules:
- In order to avoid damage of the natural texture and look of the leather, for daily maintenance it is not recommended to use instant shine sprays or sponges, as these could severely damage the first layer of the leather.
- Every time before, applying paste or cream, the footwear // the item // should be throughout cleaned of any leftover of the previous treatment. Only then a thin layer of cream or paste should be applied and once dry, 5-10 minutes, the paste or cream should be gently brushed to a shine
- How to care for different leather types:
- Plain leather - On cleaned and dried leather apply a small amount of cream or wax preferably into the closest color of the surface to be treated, (recommended Kazar Waterproof Shoe Cream).
- Suede and Nubuk - Items made out of suede or nubuk should be cleaned with a specially made for them brush, or with a very lightly dump cloth, or by special spray products available on the market, (like Kazar Nubuk & Suede Renovation Spray).
- Leather with natural hair - It is recommended to clean this type of leather by stroking it gently with a soft brush along the grain.
- Varnished Leather - Although there are products which can protect your footwear from the great harm of low temperature, ( like Kazar Care & Shine), shoes made of varnished leather, should not be exposed to low temp. at all; to remove dirt wipe them with a soft cloth and do not use “instant shine” products.

- Before putting on and removing, the shoes they should be, depending on the type of footwear and of the fastening, unlaced or undone,
- To prevent premature rubbings on any part of the feet, the deformation on the upper of the shoe and the wear and tear of the insole, the footwear should be properly laced and fastened by Velcro or other ways.
- A shoe-horn should always be used to put the shoes on. While taking them off, laces, Velcro, and straps should be undone.

- Of extreme importance is to dry your soaked footwear at room temperature for about 18 hours. Do not use hairdryers, heaters; do not place them close to any source of heat such as radiators. In order to prevent footwear’s deformation, while getting dry, and as well when not wearing them, insert shoe trees, into.

Natural trait within each leather:
- The typical wear out of goods made of leather with fur on the outside is the balding of the leather which looses the hair by frequent rubbing against other surfaces.
- Compared to plain grain leather, normal and typical lacquered leather is of a much lower resistance to repeated bending, which does not make the product a defected one.
- With dyed leathers, especially in very bright or very dark colors, there may be, by rubbing on, dyeing on items and clothing. When deciding to buy such products, you should reckon the possibility of socks, tights or clothing directly being tainted by the dyed skin. Dyeing can be halted by using, as needed, Kazar Color Stop.
- One of characteristic of goods made of suede is the often partial discoloration of the outer surface of the uppers; yet this cannot constitute non-conformity with the sell-buy agreement.
- Lightening and shading, slight discoloration, are part of the natural leather texture, with possible variations and imperfections, are not to be considered as defects, but the traits of the leather, in general.
- Because of the leather’s specific traits such as air and moisture permeability, shoes with leather soles have unique properties and provide a hygienic and comfortable wear, by of its lightness as well. However, one must remember that this sole wears off faster than the ones made of synthetic material, and for use in inclement weather conditions, the leather sole can absorb water and even soak through. Permeability of water is also a natural feature of the skin, to which attention should be paid when using this type of footwear.
